Carthage goes for it on 4th and 8 from their own 30 and QB hits Montrel Hatten for a 72 yard TD. Surratt will go for it from anywhere on the field. I think the wind had something to do with not punting there, but it worked out.

The Jasper Defense is for real. Already caused and recovered one fumble and just picked off a lazy swing pass.

Carthage turns the ball over again. QB throws an interception. WR makes a TD saving tackle. Jasper has the ball at the Carthage 25.

That was a flat out bad pass. Maybe the wind had something to do with it, but still. Thank goodness for our D. Jasper is going to have a tough night on offense, but so is Carthage. This one might end 7-0.

lol I think we will score again. They blew that coverage pretty bad on the TD. It can happen again.

Carthage hold Jasper 4 and out. Dawgs take over.

This one is over. Jasper won’t score 14. Carthage still better clean it up on offense. Turnovers are going to hurt us at some point.

Jasper goes for it on 4th down from their own 30. Stopped short, but they get a face mask call for the 1st down. That’s Jasper’s first 1st down of the game. Not very smart to go for it on your own 30 when you can barely pick up a yard. Jasper coach gonna get his boys blown out if he is not careful.

As I post that now Jasper decides to punt this time from their own 47 on 4th and 9. I think Jasper’s coach realized the same thing I posted. No need to get blown out. Their D is playing good.

Jasper changes their offense now. Not sure what’s going on. They are lining up in goal line set on their own 30 yard line with no WR. Not sure what they are doing. Just trying to run it up the middle every play. 4th down coming up.

Yea, Jasper needs to find at least some type of offense to compliment that defense. They don't even have to score much to win when the defense is so good

No. Gilmer only scored 7. I get what you are saying though. Believe me alot of us Carthage fans feel the same way about our O. But I don’t care how good an offense is, it’s going to be hard for any team to score against Carthage this year.

Stan Hodges was taking the reigns after Brian Barbay (last year was our OC) retired. He was implementing a new offense (not this disaster you are seeing now). Not long before season started he was hired as HC at Hull Daisetta.
