Hagar Posted October 17, 2021 Report Posted October 17, 2021 Have to give powerlifter kudos on giving posters an unlimited bunch of topics. This one for instance. In my 7 years of being a member, I suspect this is the first time this topic has been brought up. Keeps us on our toes, or on something. 😄 HikeMoncho 1 Quote

In my opinion, JV is the least interesting level of football for any program and the least indicative of future success. All the best and most talented sophomores will be on Varsity. I’d be more proud of freshman success and even Jr High success than I would JV. But maybe that’s just me. Mr. Buddy Garrity, powerlifter and AggiesAreWe 3 Quote
HikeMoncho Posted October 17, 2021 Report Posted October 17, 2021 And before people come for me, I’m not taking anything away from JV kids. Lots will end up spending time as starters On varsity eventually and others will provide the necessary depth. ladybug33 and Mr. Buddy Garrity 2 Quote

I pay more attention now to our 8th graders than the lower levels at the HS. I'd rather go watch the 9th graders than the JV also. Quote

mat Posted October 17, 2021 Report Posted October 17, 2021 WOS (and others I’m sure) tend to keep upcoming promising talent on JV rather than varsity back up so they can get quality experience and playing time. Quote
