*Odessa Permian goes after its 13th but first since 1993.

Drought without unbeaten record:

*Gorman posted its last clean slate in 1976, the year it captured the Class B (now 1A) state crown.

*Salado's only undefeated season was in 1967.

*El Paso Austin's lone perfect regular season came way back in 1937 under the guidance of Walter (Chule) Milner.
