I would like to see the completion % at least 55% and much less INT's

I agree as well or even 60%. I've seen 3 or 4 games on Texan Live. He was very accurate the 1st 2 or 3 games but I know there were a few bad weather games here and there. Id like to see him run as well. He has good speed. That could really open up the passing game IMO.

Miller should be on the All-State team this year. Dodd and a few guys on defense should get votes as well. Let's go beat Hardin Jefferson and lock up 3rd. Silsbee has thr ability to go 2 or 3 rounds for sure.

Locking up third gives you Sealy in Bi district and China Spring in the second round. Sealy is getting their players back and will be tough in round 1

A lot of Silsbee ppl were saying they weren’t that great this year… or this team is just young. Now they barely beat H-F and they are headed 3 rounds deep lol cmon man

I watched a young Silsbee team go to the  state semifinals in 2017 with sophomores and juniors. Got hot the last few weeks and rolled. Had a sophomore QB as well back then.

That sounds like Silsbee fans every year.  Lol.
Got me a screen shot… just in case.

What is the top 2 alltime single season receiving records for Silsbee? I'm going to guess the 2 guys would be Desmond Doss and Mackey are the top 2.

I don't have the all time records but from my limited memory (2000-2021)....

Miller may not only set the single season receiving record for Silsbee this year but could in fact eclipse career records for Silsbee receivers in his first season.

The closest I know of stats wise to D. Miller this year is K. Barnes (2016-17) and Miller has blown those numbers out the water before the playoffs.

I'd have to defer to more seasoned people to clear this up but if the pace continues then no doubt he will be all time leader at Silsbee, if he stays at receiver, by the time he graduates.

Mackey has the single season receptions, yards and TD record for Silsbee.

Career receiving yards goes to Barnes.

Miller is on pace to break all those records.

If Orangefield beats HF or looses by one point, Orangefield will be runner-up, Silsbee will be third, and HF will be fourth. If HF beats Orangefield by two or more points, HF will be runner-up, Orangefield will be third, and Silsbee will be fourth. (Barring any upsets.)

was told if HF wins by 4 or more , OF moves to 4th, HF 2nd, Silsbee 3d. So if your Silsbee fan, you want OF to win, or HF to win by 4 or more

For real, the HJ game is gonna be close and a struggle ? Tigers have some issues at running back right now. That said, depending on the OF HJ game outcome, and Silsbee taking the 3d place slot, it would not be a far reach for Silsbee to get a rematch with Carthage in 3d round. After bi week, get Dodd back healthy, and with getting the passes to Miller, good field conditions, and decent refs, it's not out of the possibility?

Correct.

Current point totals are:

Silsbee -1 (lost by 2 to OF, won by 1 to HF)

Orangefield +2 (won by 2 over Silsbee)

HF -1 (lost by 1 to Silsbee)

Assuming Silsbee beats HJ next week and OF and HF win their respective games in week 11, then it comes down to what happens in the game between OF & HF next week. An Orangefield win gets them #2, Silsbee #3 and HF #4. An HF win by 1 point will result in OF getting 2nd, HF 3rd, Silsbee 4th. An HF win by 2 or 3 points will result in HF getting 2nd, OF getting 3rd, Silsbee 4th. An HF win by 4 or more will put HF #2, Silsbee #3 and OF #4.

If I'm not mistaken, the way our district works is that in a three way tie, point differential is used to determine the first team in (2nd seed). Head-to-head then determines the other two seeds (3rd and 4th seeds). If that is the case, a HF win by 2 or more will put HF 2nd (point differential), Orangefield 3rd and Silsbee 4th (Head-to-head). If anyone has the district charter please verify.

I'll see if I can find out, I knew that if HF won by 3 pts, Silsbee and OF would be tied at -1, and head to head would come in to play , and OF would move to 3d, and Silsbee 4th. Be interesting either way, amazing that its come to this?

Each district determines their own tie-breaking rules. Some use point differential for each seed, some use the system I described. I haven't looked at the tie-breaking rules in a few years, so I'm not sure which one District 11 uses. Please let us know if you find out. I will see if I can dig up something also.
