Watching the LU/Huston-Tillotson game. The Cards are down 42-41 because they can't defend the 3-point line. One of the H-T guys is raining threes and has 23 points. Historically, Lamar boat races this team.

Yes, they scraped by St. Thomas last week who is trying to be a division 3 school by 2 points. Huston Tillotson is an NAIA school and currently leading Lamar. These are both home games.

The coming weekend play three Division I schools in the McNeese tournament.

Starting the year like this may be another long season...was surprised they played so close to TCU but I don't know what players TCU had on the floor that night. TCU currently ranked 15th but that doesn't mean much this early in the season.

My post didn't age well at all. They redeemed themselves in the second half. 🤣🤣

Lamar beaten by #335 McNeese final  66-57

If we don’t figure out how to defend the 3 ball it’s going to be tough.  I think they shot 12-36 which is actually low for an opponent.  Can’t find the final stats but we were 2-14 at one point.  When you play 3 six foot and unders, you better be able to shoot it at a high clip.  Because the other team is just going to shoot over you.

We actually made 24 FG to their 22 but they made the 12 3-pointers while we ended up 4-24 from three point land.

We are no longer dead last in 3 point percentage in D1 (which we were a week ago). We have moved up to 349 out of 352.  Baby steps!

Yikes. They're shooting .244 from deep, which 362nd according to the Score app. The advanced stats overall are dreadful. They could pull 15 football players and swap them out with no noticeable difference statistically.

Short drive to Lamar

or fully loaded but out of sync Silsbee.(I’m assuming fully loaded)

Fully loaded Silsbee minus one starter (Harper) who I was told will be out a couple of weeks due to an injury sustained in Cuero game. The rest of the football players (8 in all) will start playing tonight against Beaumont United.
