I know rankings when it comes down to it don't mean much, if at all.

I am curious though how the Eagles are considered the #7 team in 3A DII.

One "quality" loss to the #4 ranked team 2 divisions above them is = to 0 losses against teams all in the same division. imo.

Fly HIGH Eagles! Fly HIGH!  as always your neighbors 16 miles to the west are pulling for you.

DeKalb is no push-over, they gave Daingerfield a game. Offensively,DeKalb blocking scheme is pretty good. I will take Newton in a close game. DeKalb's highlight films show they are pretty good but Newton should be better in a shoot-out.

As the defense of other teams get tougher as the playoffs go. Every team Newton plays will be focused on their run game. Which means stacking the box. I would love to see Newton come out and do something no one would ever expect. Like spreading their Offense out and throwing the ball more. If they could get any success throwing the ball. Newton could be awesome.

As long as Newton keeps a level head and doesn’t overlook anyone they will be good. Throwing is always a plus and Newton does do some of that. My only concern is how long the starters play if we can get a big lead…. I hate to have all the starters out for consecutive weeks come 3/4th quarter and come say next week we get in a nail bitter and we run out of steam late hope that doesn’t happen. But 1 game at a time Best of luck cheering from Florida!!!!

This time of the year is Eagle hunting season, and this week them Eagles are hunting Bears.  Better luck to the Bears in basketball.  😂👽😂
