killingmesmalls Posted November 13, 2021 Report Posted November 13, 2021 Other than avoiding inclement weather, why would a team want to play on Thursday night? “Friday Night Lights” sure sounds better! LOL Quote
Chester86 Posted November 13, 2021 Report Posted November 13, 2021 In the playoffs so you can hopefully go scout the team you’d play next week on Friday. bulldawg64 1 Quote

WOSdrummer99 Posted November 13, 2021 Report Posted November 13, 2021 Some championship games are played on thursday. I wouldn't want a short week to prepare before that. Quote

WOS1986 Posted November 14, 2021 Report Posted November 14, 2021 Hey AggiesAreWe, Do you have any idea why teams don’t play at NRG this year? Is that normal? Wait till third round? They always host 2 or 3 games but not this year. I would appreciate any input. Quote

I think you also have to deal with 2-3 different entities when securing that stadium. When you play at AT&T in Arlington or the Star in Frisco, you deal with one man, and Jerry Jones is the biggest fan of high school football in the state. WOS1986 1 Quote
WOS1986 Posted November 14, 2021 Report Posted November 14, 2021 Thanks all for comments and much appreciated. It is really sad for not playing at NRG while Alamodome, AT&T, and Frisco Ford Center are big heart and allow high school play. It is all about money and surprised that Texans don't want it and could help their debt or profit. Again, thanks all for comments. Chester86 1 Quote
