Thursday Night Games

Other than avoiding inclement weather, why would a team want to play on Thursday night?   “Friday Night Lights” sure sounds better! LOL

In the playoffs so you can hopefully go scout the team you’d play next week on Friday.

Venues! Getting a good stadium to play in is a priority for lots of coaches.

Also getting officials

Some championship games are played on thursday. I wouldn't want a short week to prepare before that.

Do you have any idea why teams don’t play at NRG this year? Is that normal? Wait till third round? They always host 2 or 3 games but not this year. I would appreciate any input.

Texan ownership has decided not to lease out stadium

I think LCM might be playing at nrg

They don't want high school teams showing up the Texans on their home field.

Reason #2,136 that ownership is horrible. I think you also have to deal with 2-3 different entities when securing that stadium. When you play at AT&T in Arlington or the Star in Frisco, you deal with one man, and Jerry Jones is the biggest fan of high school football in the state.

Thanks all for comments and much appreciated. 

It is really sad for not playing at NRG while Alamodome, AT&T, and Frisco Ford Center are big heart and allow high school play. It is all about money and surprised that Texans don't want it and could help their debt or profit.
