Put in my code and up pops this very official looking Microsoft Block telling me my iPad had had a virus put in and they were going to have to block me out unless they cleared it. Had a toll free number to call for Microsoft Support. Even had a verbal announcement going, over & over, verbatim to what was on the screen. I’m thinking, wth. Got my iPhone & got another number to call Microsoft Support. Called that & MS had a recording that they no longer take calls. Now I’m suspicious. Called the toll free number on my screen. Foreign (Indian?) guy answers. Tells me it’ll take about 45 minutes to clear the virus & it’ll cost me $85. Told him I had a bad connection, hung up & cut off my iPad. No further problems.
