Pretty impressive win for the hawks.  Nederland beat HF comfortably yesterday and has routinely beaten HJ the last few years if my memory serves me right.

Hmmmm.... Is this the same Nederland team that just last night beat a predicted by district play to be a TABC top 10 Hamshire-Fannett team by 13 at Hamshire-Fannett?

But HF beat OF by 3 today, so… but orangefield might be pretty decent this year

I wouldn’t say they routinely beat HF. HF was winning by 2 going into the 4th. By looking at the score, HF probably had to foul at the end which made it a 12 point win.   That takes nothing away from HJ today though. That is an impressive win. That district race is going to be tight from Huffman, HJ, and HF.

HF just got back two starters from football who haven't had a practice yet with the team and it showed. A lot of missed layups! HF was winning going into the 4th, but Nederland was a more cohesive unit down the stretch. HF will be just fine, guys just have to get their legs under them and gel with the new system.

OF is always a solid team and playing them in a back to back makes it even tougher, but HF had the game from start to finish. Foul trouble really was the tale of the tape in this one. Ardoin and Coleman both were in foul trouble early on. Sat most of the first half, Ardoin got his 4th foul in the 3rd and sat until mid 4th qrt. He only played half the game due to foul trouble.

Nederland cut this one to 5 early in the 3rd but HJ hit some big 3’s to pull back out and win it going away. Nederland has a little guard that can fill it up from behind the arc. They don’t have the inside presence they have had in the past. Good ballgame with neither club getting in foul trouble. I don’t think either club ever got in the bonus.
