This are the official cutoff numbers though and includes the number of schools at each level, Crosby will be D1.

These are the “official” numbers right now. The UIL will revise them later. These were the official cutoff numbers per their initial release during the last realignment. You can see the “official” cutoff is 1,899 for 5A-D2. Once they revised the numbers the cutoff moved to 1,921.

this is important for teams like Crosby who are right on the initial line there's a fairly good chance we get bumped if more opt ups happen.

Crosby already plays Dayton once. They would have to play them six times in that district. The one positive is that we would be able to get a first hand look at the players in our GCCISD farm system. Probably could've gotten that receiver from Lee that just committed to Vanderbilt. Outside of playing a weaker schedule one of the biggest negatives I see is even is more hostility from the GCCISD coaches towards kids who are trying to transfer to a better situation for them.

could you really blame goose creek coaches they have one town and three schools to water down the talent. Then the little bit of talent they get moves to a neighbor district. Got to be tough for them. Oh well, BH is building 4,000 more homes if anyone is looking :)

Going to interesting which way they go with a couple of those school, with Shepherd going down to 3A they may want to try and put those school that are closer (like: Coldspring, Shepherd, Tarkington, Diboll) in a district, or heck maybe not and have them all traveling all over the place.

District 9
Cleveland Tarkington
Coldspring-Oakhurst

I wonder why they'd be hostile.

I beat there some happy png and nederland fans today lol

Doesn’t matter to us lol we won DC’s against the bigger richer schools. Now I wish the Ned 2012 team had this breakdown for sure. Every time we lost in the playoffs it was to a team moving up to 6A the next year and they always  would contend for state. Hammered the bigger ones in the 6A now (Porter, New Caney)

Wouldn't it make more sense for District 9 to acquire Woodville and have Tarkington stay with District 10 ?

At least thats what makes the most sense on "the Map " but maybe that doesn't matter to the UIL

DCTF Matt Stepp has Tarkington in District 10 ?
