Great man who did more for Texas HS football than anyone else. Beginning in 76, I MEMORIZED this publication, still do today.

Back before high school in August, early September everyone couldn't wait until the latest Dave Campbell publication showed up at the news stand. Then you would thumb thru the thick magazine to see what Dace Campbell hard to say about you favorite high school team. RIP.

Correct, Mr Campbell has been in an emeritus role regarding the magazine since the late 1980s, we definitely weren't expecting a man in his mid 90's to be writing and editing capsules etc
