You would think the people on this site are picking the next coach and you even argue over who it should be. It don’t work that way. The school board along with the recommendation from the Superintendent and coach T will make that decision. You have already had remarks on this site about voting board members out of office. You elected them and should respect their decision.  I don’t think any of you so called Experts know more about football than Coach T.

Where you going LMAO

I have alot of respect for the other perennial powerhouse of the area.

But how's newton's coach been working out? Remember 70-0 when he first came down for a game. I only say this because the people I know from Newton claim they'll never be the same program after WT. Same could be said for us. Only time will tell.

And to whoever said something about genetics... there will always be athletes here. It's the coaching that makes the difference. Just ask LCM

What’s really gonna change things is when the school can issue that press release about how WOS has finally hired a black head coach… and everyone cheers “it’s about time!”

That’s way more important than winning football games. If WOS still manages to win, it’ll just be icing on the cake.

Ur absolutely correct.the thing is where we will miss CT the most is on the defensive side of the ball.change can be good sometimes.if you look around the state every team that continues to win the state title are well coached.i think Peavy done a tremendous job.the rest of our teams in this area has to get better coaching.ik money is a factor sometimes.at every level of football coaching what separate teams.

Most definitely. Coach T is a very humble man. I've heard him state in interviews that he's only the LB coach. And that he has to give credit to his staff for the defensive performance of his teams. But we know better. If he was lawyer, he'd be the best DEFENSE attorney in the land.

That may not be fair to all applicants. I could agree with finalists.

My opinion:  If it's fair for the finalist then its fair for all the applicants!  Again, taxpayer dollars are being used from top to bottom of this entire process!  If you want privacy -- then go into private business!

PS:  There may be another reason why some schools wants to keep the application list private:  Can anyone think why this might be?  Example:  Did anyone outside those that were making the decision, actually see the full application list when Nederland was looking for a coach this last time?  What I'm driving at is all related.

Ok, then it’s not fair for finalist it either. Better? Some or many will think certain applicants should get the job over others. Just knowing the list means nothing. None of us get to review the resume, sit in on interviews, be apart of negotiations including money, support staff, etc. There’s more to it than a list.

I know your post is meant to be sarcastic, but the sad fact of the matter is there is some truth to what you stated.

Don’t knock the black coach, Burkeville had a good one for years and won two state championships.

Black, white, brown, yellow doesn’t matter. If you can coach, you can coach. If you care about the players they will see that. All this BS is from people who haven’t been in a huddle. Nothing matters but winning and shaping young men. May the best man get the job.

I’m not knocking a black coach… I’m all in favor of hiring the best coach regardless of race.

My projection is that WOS will hire the best black coach they can find.

There’s no difference between skipping a candidate because he’s black or hiring a candidate because he’s black. Both actions are racist.

And the gen pop over there has been letting everybody know for years what color they expect their next coach to be.

Coaches fit differently at different places, ask Nick Saban.Toby would be a whole different coach at WOS then that record indicates..

Attention all head football coaches who have coached for at least nine years and has not won a state championship.  You are fired. There are no excuses.  See Reagan for your severance and kicked to the curb packages.

And people wonder why their schools NEVER win a State Championship.  LOL!!

PS:  But you are right, if I'm paying a coach big bucks then there would be a time limit, a reasonable time limit, for winning a State Title.  If none, then, yes -- we'll look elsewhere.  The only alternative, I guess, is your philosophy -- go 0-10 every year forever until the coach chooses to quit!   Which philosophy would eventually bring a State Championship?!

His list comes from here, 33.

BTW, coach @Reagan lol

I saw a kid from Killeen shoemaker score a TD for Baylor last night. So Toby can still get kids to next level without a winning championships.

Shoemaker has a big number of recruits every year. Has nothing to do with coaching. That’s been way before he go there.
