AggiesAreWe Posted January 25, 2022 Report Posted January 25, 2022 Hickman approved on a 4-2 vote. He’s the new WO-S AD/Head football coach. Quote
dBerrySports Posted January 25, 2022 Report Posted January 25, 2022 Do you even want the job at this point if you're Hickman? I mean maybe he does, I'm not trying to be presumptive. But this feels like one of those things that will always linger if he does get it. EDIT: Never mind lol I guess he got it Quote

I was the first person on this thread to suggest it. Yes, I think that was the majority’s pick but to show up and act a fool and disrespect Coach Hickman in front of his family is ridiculous. We can and should be better. The superintendent should've known better.. I feel for Coach Hickman & Family also It is what it is Quote
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted January 25, 2022 Report Posted January 25, 2022 Congrats to Coach Hickman. I hope everything works out man. That had to be one of the most tense school board meetings ever out there. Sheesh. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted January 25, 2022 Report Posted January 25, 2022 Hickman on the tense board meeting. “I knew this whole situation. This is the winningest football program in Texas. It should be hard. They should think about it before hiring someone. I’m just glad they got back there and hashed everything out.” SmashMouth 1 Quote

Both are somewhat legendary athletes from Orange. Andre was the first African American baseball player for UT and played for the Yankees in the show until a near fatal car crash ended his career. Roderick was an exceptional quarterback in HS, and spent about a decade in the minors, mostly with the Phillies organization. Quote

MackLewis Posted January 25, 2022 Report Posted January 25, 2022 Congrats to Coach Hickman! May WOS have continued success and be one of the premier programs in the state of Texas. I didn’t know, but WOS has 62 consecutive district wins, dating back to 2009, and that’s the 6th longest streak in history. I wouldn’t expect that to change either. Who will be on the non-district schedule, and who will be in region 3? Next week we should find out. Quote
