Both teams’ defenses keeping them in the game.  Paetow averaging 56 points a game, CS 49

CS drives down near the red zone but pass incomplete on 4th down, Paetow takes over.

Paetow picks up several first downs before coming up a yard short on 4th and 8.  CS takes over around their own 30.  Paetow did burn almost 5 min of clock

And then a 71-yd TD rush for CS on their first play! Tied at 21 with 4:04 left

Uh oh!! This game is a good one, lots of hard hitting, Paetow needs a 4 min touchdown drive. CS has the momentum.

CS forces a 3 and out.  Good punt for Paetow to the CS 21.  2 min remaining

Paetow holds on 3rd down, CS showing like they’re going for it from their own 29, Paetow timeout.  Likely just trying to force them to call it and then punting

CS jumps offsides on Paetows fg attempt and gives them a first down.  Awful mistake.  35 yd fg under that pressure he’s maybe 50-50 to make it.  He’s had some sketchy xps this game

I’ve enjoyed watching these games the last few days.  The best part is the respect I’ve seen on the field.  I’ve watched 6 of the games and haven’t seen an unsportsmanlike penalty, or even any pushing and shoving.  With our country being as divided as it is right now, a lot could be learned from Texas HS football.  There are teams with kids of all colors playing together as brothers.  There have been games with teams of almost all white kids playing against teams made up of entirely black kids. These young men are helping each other up, patting helmets to congratulate good plays, consoling each other in defeat, and overall just showing a level of respect that is sorely lacking in our society today.

What a game!! What a gutsy call to go for it on 4th and 1. He made the correct call imo on going for it and it paid off big time!

Great that there was finally a SC game that turned out like they should.  Imo, to many are played in the earlier rounds and the SC ends up being a lopsided affair.  Cest la vie.
