tvc184 Posted January 1, 2022 Report Posted January 1, 2022 A part of 9 Super Bowls as a player with the Dallas Cowboys, and assistant coach for the Dallas Cowboys and the head coach of the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons. Reeves what is part of a group of players in the 1970s, many of who are in the Hall of Fame. Quote
Hagar Posted January 6, 2022 Report Posted January 6, 2022 The best I ever saw at running the halfback option pass. As a RB Reeves didn’t have blazing speed, but if you ever get a chance to watch films of him, watch the way he follows his blockers. Again, one of the best. On a sweep, he’d slow down to let that great OL (Dave Manders, Rayfield Wright, Blaine Nye) mow down the defense. After “the grass was cut”, Reeves would cut up field, turn on the speed he had, and usually end up with a good gain - and me, glued to the TV, watching my favorite Cowboy QB, Roger Staubach. 😄📺😄 RIP DAN Reeves ✝️✝️✝️ Quote
Hagar Posted January 6, 2022 Report Posted January 6, 2022 And while walking down memory lane, I came across this. Bob Lilly #74 sacks Bob Griese for a 29 yard loss in Super Bowl VI. Still a SB record. Quote
