@BADSANTA I haven not seen either play this year but thing it will be more than 20.  I'm thinking 88-48, I don't think Lumberton has the offense to get 50 on Silsbee.  In order for Lumberton to keep this game close they have to play the half-court game and keep it low scoring, but I don't think they have the guards to do it.

Haven't seen Lumberton play. Doesn't look like they have any wins over quality opponents.

We'll see.

Honestly, Silsbee should beat everyone in district by an average of 20 points if this bunch is who we think they can be this year. There might be one or two teams that can keep things interesting for a quarter or two, but that's about it.

If Lumberton can get some healthy guys in we will keep it respectable, not sure we can win but on any given day..... If our best rebounder continues to be the one with the broken shoulder then we are going to have serious problems. Time for other players to step up on the boards. We have to make good passes as well, we literally threw away our chance with Orangefield.

Don't be a homer.  Lumberton hasn't handled a press all year and now they get Silsbee who will be looking to avenge the fluke from last year.

Tiger get a State Chip this year would be the ideal send off I can remember the passion in your voice when I listen to them win the first one

Silsbee ISD should consider developing a journalism program. Train students to do play by play broadcasting. Digital journalism, vlogs, blogs, podcasts that what's up these days.

I was following Silsbee basketball as early as 1967.  I even remember seeing some Waldo Matthews HS games.  I really didn't think about winning state until Kountze did it in 1969.  That is when the end the frustration set in for me.  Then I found this msg board and had to endure listening to HJ, Kountze Beaumont and Pt Arthur fans talk about their various championships.  Anyway, we won not just one, but two.  Could of been three.

Silsbee beat OF 101 to 70, i did not see game so not sure if Silsbee pulled dogs off.

OF and Lumberton looked pretty similar - Lumberton did have a starting point guard sit entire 2nd period and 4 min in 3rd period and fouled out early in 4th period - during time on court he accounted for about 28% of pts scored - 13 pts - have stay out of foul trouble.

we know Silsbee will press - Lumberton has had some lows against press (Nederland, HF, Santa Fe, Lcm)

does Silsbee press all game - pay back for last year - or they pull dogs off

I think you see similar score as OF game

Silsbee 105 to Lumberton 75
