yes Lumberton does have a weak non district schedule and should go 5-0, however we are talking about the Friendly Raiders, that under achieve about 95 percent of the time, so 3-2 or 2-3 is very possible

Whatever! The next 2 years should be interesting

There will be lots of media hype about how good Vidor, LCM and Lumbertons records are going into district,  with several coaching interviews  Friendliest district in the coverage area

Then back to the football norm?

2 years cause then I won't have a son playing anymore. I haven't thought out beyond that. But seems I might have to now cause I just found out I might have my other son starting a coaching career.

Good luck to both...don't get rid of the bleacher chair just yet!

When was the last time crosby and dayton was not in the same football district??

I would have to guess the mid 2000s when Dayton came to the Golden triangle district when it was still 4A… I can’t remember if they went for 2 years or 4 years.

From Coach Matthews:  "Preseason changed a little bit.  I feel like it will challenge us and prepare us for our district. Four out of the five preseason, (pre-district), opponents made the playoffs and several of them went to the second round".   "Being in a six school district presented some challenges in making up the schedule.  I did not want to schedule a team we may face in the second round because I did not want to give them a chance to look at us"

A chance to look at y’all? Lol Vidor runs a total of 11 plays. 5 runs to right. 5 to the left and 1 pass play…

Ever thought that he may have meant...a chance for coaches to study blocking schemes, snap counts, down-n-distance plays, coverages, etc...?? Yeah probably not

An yet there are teams that still can’t stop it. Lol. I imagine it’s pretty humiliating getting beat by a team that sometimes will not even throw 1 pass in a game. Sometimes 2 or 3 games in a row with no passes. Lol

Vidor’s hasn’t changed a bit in the last 15 plus years… they continue to do the same thing. Mathews doesn’t change his schemes or anything based on his players, it’s the same year in and year out. Lmao

I would think that many teams will ever see a Slot T opponent. No need to give them a preview of the offense.  And then there are the defensive alignments on display as well.
