I don't particularly care for the guy, but I see nothing wrong with this. Workplace romances are more than common.  Heck, I met my wife at the workplace and married her 20 years later....lol

I don’t think it’s a matter of being wrong but violating company rules if I understand the article and his comments.

 Also in this case, sex (I am assuming) with a subordinate tends to make it appear criminally and civilly problematic as well as the appearance of a scandal affecting ratings.

That wasn’t my angle either. I didn’t think Matt Lauer was a fair deal. It’s funny how people can do bad things, even really bad things, apologize and things are smoothed over.

My guess is that ratings are terrible and this gives CNN an excuse to terminate "with cause" and avoid any potential buyouts.

I believe it’s probably way more than meets the eye. Abysmal ratings, threats from Cuomo for being let go from CNN are just two of the reasons that come to mind. Zucker’s relationship with a subordinate has been out in the open for a long time. It’s just the excuse du jour to allow the network to sweep the real reason under the rug. Just wait for it.
