No I was talking about our previous run to state.

Round 1- Willowridge

Round 2- #4 Texas High

Round 3- #5 Huntsville

Round 4 - #2 Fortbend Marshall

Round 5 - #6 Liberty Hill

Finals - #1 Aledo.

Was referring to your statement "the only way we do anything this year is... etc etc"

Was just showing you the likely path of what y'all would have to do, "to do anything this year."

I think the BH / Kpark game cleared a lot up. Crosby and LaPorte will be playing for 4th place. The last two weeks for KPark, PAM, and BH will determine their seeding in the playoffs.

LP is pretty banged up. The game with Crosby would be tough enough at full strength. I understand Crosby is finally back at full strength.

What about Porter?

I think LP holds the short straw unless they beat Crosby. If Porter goes 2-0, LP’s out. If Porter goes 1-1, LP’s out with a Crosby loss. If LP beats Crosby & Porter goes 2-0, Porter’s in.

At least, I think that’s right…

EDIT:

After PAM & KWP losses tonight, I give up. HA!

Bh could also win out and make all of this incorrect. Lots of ball left to play. However BH played the vaunted number one Fort Bend Marshall last year  in the first round and ran them off the field. Not saying that would happen to Longview just reiterating the fact upsets happen.

Step one

up next PAM…

Is QB1 back for em?

So it looks like he played against Porter because we needed him, but then didn't play against Sterling because the JV could have beat Sterling.

I would bet he's playing versus La Porte the only question is after the 7 Td performance against Sterling and how in synch the backup and the starting wide outs look, do you play him at QB when he's healthy? We know Crosby has had no problem flipping players positions, even as late as the first round of the playoffs... Maybe QB 1 becomes RB 1 or WR 1.

Is Crosby finally healthy?

That's very hard to know. You have about 7-8 players who are nursing injuries so at any time you might lose one during practice, or on a training table. If the team that was playing versus Sterling is an indication then Crosby would be at 85% if the QB 1 plays.

This year Crosby has played games without the following at various times

WR #1, WR #2, WR #3

RB #1,

LB #1

DL #1

Safety #1

Cornerback #1

It's not just injuries we were losing the core of our defense and offense at various times. Hopefully we've had enough weeks to get ready.

We looked the healthiest I have seen versus Sterling and were still missing QB #1. Simultaneously we were the most unhealthy versus PAM a couple weeks before so... who knows.

KP has PAM left.

BH has PAM, Porter

PAM has BH, KP.

Now somebody smart can try to explain the 3rd and 4th place spots to the rest of us. I know Crosby gets in with a win over GCM, but I think BH misses out with a loss to Porter, and Porter would get in. Basically, if BH wins, they get the 3 spot, if they lose, they are out. Maybe I’m wrong.

    • I too, wish #15 was healthy and playing.  And also another RB (can't recall the #), who went down in the first game of the season. But, some others have stepped up and are hard runners.  I'm really looking forward to watching this game.
    • Still, from what little I saw, it should have been a much closer game.  WOS was missing some fundamentals on defense, and a lack of imaginative play calling on offense.  Just my opinion as an objective observer on Texan Live, which was horrible btw, but that's another story.
    • Either way,one game lead in the series. I rely to much on word of mouth
    • West Orange Stark has been a powerhouse since I csn remember. At some point, your bound to fall off to some degree. Alabama has 3 or 4 loses this season. Who would have thought? Has Orange lost kids to LCM or even Orangefield?
    • Interesting matchup this Friday. Both teams have very good offensive and defensive lines, which will make this game interesting. Having watched Texas High all season, they have a wide open offense with very good skill players. If you look at their stats they run the ball 57% of the time and pass 43% of the time. Personally, that is a bit deceiving, as most of their games have seen reserves running the ball in the 4th quarter. I would estimate the primary offense is 50/50. Through 12 games they have run for 3,224 yds (48tds) and passed for 2,894 yds (32 yds). Potter, the Tiger QB, has been very efficient with a 69% completion rate and 1 interception (which came from a tipped pass). The passing is distributed primarily to 4 receivers…. Ball (865), Wrightner (811), Montgomery (532), & Pilgreen (392). The rushing comes from 3 running backs … Johnson (1,432), Ball (768) & Moore (716).  The Tiger defense is solid and very quick.    Hope #15 is healthy enough to play. He is a test for any defense. I was concerned about the Nederland RB, but felt Texas High did a good job containing him. I wish this game was in the afternoon, as Nachitoches is having their Festival of Lights and their will not be any rooms in the inns and restaurants will be full so plan accordingly. PNG are state champions until someone knocks them off, so I extend the Indians the respect they deserve. Pulling for the Tigers.
