5AD1 District 8 and Region 2 discussion.

PAM will go as far as the QB will take them and that's the big mystery...you can only hand it off to the backs so many times before the box stack up and the bubble screens to the fast wr's will only work for a little bit. QB got to show he can throw down field and make smart decisions. if it's a weak link for PAM, this is it. No transfer qb coming to save PAM this year.

First day of practice for Crosby today. Feels like we have a better group of senior leadership this year, we'll see how it works out. With the hiring off the new safeties coach last week I believe the staff is finally complete.

Pretty much like most years, Lee is the closest, but still won't make it to the playoffs. Not enough numbers. Then Sterling, then GCM last.

Crosby has 2 games at the front of their schedule that should tell a lot. 
 

Rest of the district either lost alot or had horrible subvarsity teams last year.

We're probably more equipped to play there and win this season than the last time we played there and won. We'll see, lots can happen before Week-10.

My final preseason rankings 

1.) Port Arthur- Kings until dethroned 

2.) BH- I think they have a shot to dethrone 😃

3,) Porter- My dark horse. They return a ton and played all the top teams close. Sparky will be tough this year

4.) Crosby- if they stay healthy and buy into the new program. If so they place higher if not they fall.

5.) LaPorte- they will be in the hunt for a playoff spot, so don’t sleep

6.)Kingwood Park- Think they will struggle without that stud QB

7.) Baytown Lee- returning 9 on both sides of the ball. Baytown Champion 

8.) Baytown Sterling- Baytown Runner Up

9.) GCM- still searching for a district win.

2.) Crosby- Because BH hardly beats them at Crosby

What's your feelings after week-1? 

 

For me: Glad the Titans came away injury-free/defense and OL were great. Kicker is legit.

I think we did pretty good for 1st game. We will keep improving each week and hope to stay healthy. Lines looked good , skill positions looked good an LB’ s did well. Secondary will need to tighten up and we have to learn to close out games.

also the RB’s looked good tonight I thing we will have a better running game this year

BH dominated the game probably should’ve won by 4 TD’s. A lot of positives against a mediocre team. Areas to work on is QB needs to either step in pocket and run or throw it away. He’s holding on to the ball too long. The secondary is shaky, but noticed they changed DB’s mid way through game. BH shots themselves in the foot a couple times with turnovers. RB’s looked good, WR’s did well, O line looked great and defensive front was good. Missing our stud LB right now. I have a feeling BH will go toe to toe with PAM. That will be for district title.
