Gohmert's a dipstick.  The fact that he and Marjorie Taylor Greene keep backing each other up doesn't bode well for him.    Doing some research on this, he's being dumb, and it's a non-issue.  It's a nice sound bite for people to get riled up about nothing, reposting fake news and faking outrage.  The DOJ "got caught opening Gohmert's mail" because they clearly marked this mail to let him know that, for whatever security reason, they decided to more closely examine the mail.  Gohmert had two pieces of mail over 6 months that were x-rayed and opened by the DOJ. This happened on literally two of the hundreds or thousands he gets a week.  I guess they should just let his stuff go straight through so he can get a nose full of anthrax.  I like Gohmert less now after looking this up.

You go ahead and trust the Biden DOJ, you seem to be giving them a pass on this and you have no idea why they checked the mail.

Gohmert may be a dipstick, but the Biden Administration, particularly the DOJ, are a dangerous, lying, conniving bunch that have zero regard for The Constitution or BORs.  To advance their socialist agenda nothing is sacred.  
I hope everyone keeps that in mind regardless of the validity of this particular story.

Agree, I have no idea what really happened here, but it amazes me that after all the proven times that the Obama administration used government to pressure conservatives (and this administration is simply Obama 2) along with their own actions that folks can still give them a pass when something likes this happens and actually blame the other party.  I wonder how much mail Pelosi or Schumer have had opened.

They checked two pieces of mail out of thousands, and let him know they did it. It’s well within the realm of possibility that someone tries to attack a politician through the mail, and the DOJ is tasked with checking suspicious packages to make sure it doesn’t happen.  I’m a lot more worried about $30M for free crackpipes than this complete nonissue.
