Goodness!!! We jacking to many 3s is really what hurt us last year vs Huffman. I think we shot 1/35? Something insane like that.

Silsbee is about 100 outside of Htown. They only mention Silsbee when they beat an HISD school.

Whether they win the region remains to be seen.  If Washington goes to state they got to take the championship from FFA.  I don't see that happening.

Silsbee has beaten HISD schools many times.  They beat Sheldon ISD (channel view, summerset, CE King,  BT Washington?) Cy Fair ISD teams, Brazosporrt teams.  Still no respect.

A lot of BT Washington players transferred from CE King, and Humble.  That's why they put homeboy on talking about his family are alumni.  Slick.

Since when did Channelview qualify as a Sheldon ISD school?

And when did Somerset (the correct spelling) become a Houston area school? That town is about 20 miles southwest of San Antonio.

 

Just because a Houston TV station does a 2 minute bit on Houston Washington (which they should do) doesn't mean there is no respect.

Does the Beaumont area TV stations do bits on Houston schools? No. Doesn't mean they don't respect the Houston schools and what some have accomplished.

Silsbee a town of 7000 should never make the Houston news. I did you use to get a kick when the Chronicle would do football stats like rushing back in 1993 and Jay McGuire was always in the top 5 in 4A. Houston Washington hasn't been this solid in a while. They deserve the coverage for sure. First time in a long time all the talk isn't about Jack Yates. Im hoping for a Silsbee vs Washington showdown in Lufkin next weekend.

It's not just coverage. it is that big city teams can do what they want.  They collude during off season. Transfer protocol is much easier than it has ever been.  A coach can put together a state team in no time.  

You let some 6'8" wing men with a jumpers show up in Silsbee & see what happens.

Yeah Htown has over 2.5 million. Dallas does it all the time.
