This year's Yates team is as about as young as Silsbee. Calvin Murphy's grandson is the starting PG for Yates and he is a freshman.

Yates and Silsbee is always intense. I remember the 1st 2 times they played in 2013 and 2014 in 3A (now 4A). Yates always had big names like Swift, Hughes, Washington, Young, Soriles, Norman etc. Silsbee has had equal star power in the recent past with Bush, McCain, Adams, Elam, Reed etc. I look for another high scoring game with a bunch of 3 pointers shot. Go Tigers!!!

Silsbee will have to really take care of the ball.  WOS got rolled 16 - 2 in the first first few minutes in a run that was in no way indicative of the way the two teams matched up.  The score at half time and the final score were proof of that.  The Tigers need to be ready from the tipoff.

I heard Coach Greg Wise called Coach Mitchell to get some pointers on how to slow down Silsbee.  Nobody would expect Yates to run the turtle-in-the-shell offense!
