Mitchell selected to coach the all star team.  I heard the selection committee is going to give him a lifetime contract to keep doing this.

There are a lot of great coaches around Texas and SE Texas has a lot of them.  Most of us know who the best coaches are and the rising stars.  I wonder what everyones top basketball schools in the area are.  Maybe not currently but the most potential that has the most fertile ground with athletes, administration and community support.  Below are my top 5, what does everyone else have?

surprised three or four accounts haven't come out of retirement to keep this thread going.  I guess the original attempt to turn it in a certain direction didn't get enough of a response this time.

I was pretty surprised about this considering he didn't even get his team into the playoffs this year, but apparently it's based on the results from the season before because they cancelled the all-star game last year.

There were all-stars games last year, Sutherland and Green Coached the teams.

It was my understanding that the SETCA game got cancelled, but if it didn’t, this coaching selection doesn’t make sense based on this year’s results.

Yeah who knows how they pick the coaches but the Lumberton coach has done well there.. if he’s coaching one of the teams then kuddos to him and his staff, great accomplishment
