Guest abovetherim Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 In a sloppy game full of TO's and personal fouls Lamar beat Central Oklahoma tonight. Will post more on the game tomorrow as I''m under the weather tonight. Kenny Dawkins played well and Tristan Worrell was huge of the bench as the Cardinals overcome a second half deficit to win by double digits. Lamar had 16 TO's at halftime. At the end of the day, I guess a win is a win.
KFDM COOP Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Got the W though. They'll get better on the TO's.
Guest Luv Ya Blue Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Love those Wins! I'll be at several games this season.
KFDM COOP Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Lamar Sanders 9 points 11 rebounds and 4 assists.
Guest abovetherim Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Barrow lead all scorers with 16. Lamar would have lost this game last season. I guess that may be the silver lining here.

LUFAN Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Here is my thoughts on the game. I think that our back court is way way better than last year. I think that the turn overs from this game were based completely on the fact that this team did not take this game to seriously as it was an exhibition game. I think that our biggest problem this year is going to our front court. We lack intensity. Our players are big and bulky but want to play a finese style of game. They need to go to the hoop hard and bang in the paint. Our big men our some of the sloppiest ball handlers that I have ever seen. #33 from UCO out played most of our players even though he lacked the size and supporting cast of our team. I think that we will be better this year and I hope that we will win the SLC but it depends on our teams intensity and ability to play well in every game not.
Guest coachacola Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Looks like Barrow is 100% this year. Hopefully Sanders can get some help under the basket, especially since he's prone to get into foul trouble when trying to do too much. Lamar's first big test is coming quickly against Mississippi and their strength is the front court. They start three 6-8 guys up front, but their back court is inexperienced. Nwevo, Brown, and the others need to step it up quickly.

Guest abovetherim Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 Nice article and I can see a good year coming LU's way. Matt Barrow is really better now than at any time last season and I see him being a difference maker.
