If they were voting based on that the 1st 4 weeks of the season & a team is 3-9 they need to stop voting.

They are voting on "who is pitching now and what they are at this time". Everyone (including the voters) know the story.

Any weekly top 25 poll that keeps a team in its top 25 poll while going 0-9 for 3 weeks defeats the purpose of teams earning a ranking based on winning there games each week. It's all good though some polls are known for"giving" teams a ranking & not earning one.

The good thing is that there are playoffs and rankings mean nothing. Will be interesting to see what they are ranked 3-4 rounds into the playoffs when all the "deserving teams" are being eliminated. Rusk likely has the best pitcher in the state and he was not available until last week. Expect a "miraculous" turnaround for an "undeserving team".

He can’t pitch every game though. Well…. Unless they win the coin flip every round like last year’s playoffs lol

Like I stated this is a weekly top 25 team ranking poll that should base rankings on if teams win or lose each week, not a poll on what teams are going to do when they get a pitcher back for future games or playoffs. When they win 9 in a row like they lost 9 in a row then they will be a deserving team to be ranked. What they have done the 1st 4 weeks is not deserving of a top 25 ranking over teams that actually won 4 times more games imo. Best of luck to Rusk in making the miraculous turn around from 3-9 to a state title.

If Rusk was missing their Ace that definitely would convert a few more wins their way. That district will be very competitive so we are about to see how good they really are.

In all honesty I’m hoping Rusk and Bellville end up facing each other. That means Bellville will be in the regional finals. It’s all fun in games talking crap on here but you would be stupid if you didn’t think Rusk didn’t have a solid team

FYI. You guys only get 1 last “scrub team” in this playoff run. After this week we are going to see, as you said, how good Bellville really is. 9-1 in 17 4A ain’t easy, as you will soon find out. I really do hope y’all make it to the finals.

El Campo is gonna be a tough out for us. Had us beat in the first time we played and we came back and took the game. Beat us the second time in district. I said before the playoffs started that my non homer region pick was China Spring. Some good baseball ahead.
