Maybe I'm paying for it too... I pay about $5000/year for insurance thru my employer. But they won't cover a major test til I go over my out of pocket $3000 deductible. Can anyone explain the sense of that? Or is it just another Robin hood thing?

That was the cost of Obamacare. My city insurance deductible went from $1500 to $5000. My wife’s monthly premium on my employee account went from $230 A month to almost $500. The “Affordable” Care Act is affordable for those not paying.

Sure, all of a sudden people have insurance… by me (as an example) more than $6,000 a year increase every year since enacted. I probably paid an additional $60,000+ since it went into effect. Affordable? Sure, for the votes it was intended pay for.

Sure ACA needs to be changed up... what alternative does the other side have? They ran 4 years on getting rid of Obama care with no plan to help those who need it most! I'm all for ppl paying for their own stuff, but how bout the ones who can't and are ill and rely on this stuff? Of course D's will get these votes

My family’s health care plan at the time thru Blue Cross Blue Shield that served our needs went from $400 a month to $1500 a month for the same coverage. $1100 a month increase. News flash a lot of people lost their coverage an couldn’t afford new coverage, an to make things worse they financially didn’t qualify for Obama Care. Which means they increased the amount of people without insurance. It doesn’t surprise me that you would defend a TURD PIECE of LEGISLATION LIKE THE UNAFFORDABLE CARE ACT…..SMH

I'm literally debating on how to fix it and what's the alternative and you consider that defending? My wife's a nurse and were covered thru her job... I'm merely speaking on striking down something without replacing even though you told ppl for 4 years you had something better but never brought it to the table! Some folks will argue that ACA is what's keeping them alive 🤷🏾‍♂️

Here’s the deal. My family along with millions of other families lost there health care coverage that they were happy with. Like baddog said Medicaid was already available to people in need. It was nothing more than another power grab from the Democrat party. They destroyed health care coverage for 80% of the American people to give the other 20% 💩coverage with ridiculously high deductibles. I am all for helping people in need but you don’t destroy the whole health care market to give 💩 coverage to 20% of the people. If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor. If you like your health care coverage you can keep your health care coverage. What a Bull💩 Lie an he knew it! Still pisses me off, not to mention Congress had their own gold standard policy’s. Obama 💩 Care are for the peasants only. Smh

That is nonsense. They were not in control with an unbeatable majority in both houses. The Senate takes 60 votes to break cloture and bring it to a vote. While 51 votes can pass a law, it takes those 60 to break the filibuster to get to the final vote. If that was not true, why are we debating gun control? Why don’t the Democrats  with control of both houses and the presidency simply pass a law? A simple answer is easy, they can’t.

The ACA was passed with a large Democrat majority. The Republicans didn’t have the votes to stop it. It was not a compromise.  Much like the assault weapon ban under Clinton ended the Democrats majority in a landslide victory.  The ACA ended Democrat control but the rest of Obama’s 6 years.
