I experienced it in my recent Statue of Liberty tour…..

Read an interesting book quite a few years back.  Revisionist history made me think of it - “The Ayes of Texas”.  Texas had seceded from the Union.  America was ‘fixing’ to get into it with Russia.  The American President got Texas all riled up about Russia taking them (us) over & the Red Fleet was sailing up the Houston Ship Channel.  Texas, clandestinely got the old Battleship ready with some new laser weapons and the fight was on.  I enjoyed the book much more than what I see these Loons doing to History now.
