This is why I feel the way I do towards the homeless. Wow, could there be a reason why they are homeless? Small amounts of heroin are ok. It’s the most addictive drug out there and will turn users into thieves and home invaders to feed their habit.

Imo, “to solve all our problems”, you must not only make it readily available, but also free.  Then the OD deaths will “solve all our problems”. Cold hearted approach, but realistic.  Who hires a person addicted to heroin?  So what’s the only alternative?  Steal from the law-abiding.  To (again) quote from No Country For Old Men, “I think if you were Satan and sittin around trying to think up somethin that would bring the human race to it’s knees what you would probably come up with is narcotics.”  
Yes, it’s just a quote from a book, but it’s spot on and says volumes.
