Still, indicates the Pirates were capable of being one of the top teams, especially if not for the big IF - the devastating RB injuries. For the shotgun offenses, a minor setback, but for the Slot T, BAM. Anyway, water under the bridge. A tad less than two months away from a new year and new teams. You can almost feel the excitement and anticipation. And come Friday, August 26, the Pirates will get to break in the new turf field in Silsbee. I think it’s a great matchup, and if anything like last years game, going to be a barn burner. It will definitely be a test of how much the Tigers have developed the sophisticated. Should see some freshman starters as well. Silsbee Defense on the line will be the question mark. LBs and Sec is solid just need to keep backs from breaking into 2nd level untouched. New turf will be exciting.
Hagar
CIC makes a good point. With WOS having a new Coach, the question becomes, are the players “all in on him”, or tentative? If they’re not all in, Peevey at LCM will be like a magnet. Essentially bringing the WOS domination to an end and elevating LCM into a powerhouse. I’d hate to see the WOS program go down, but this may be “the perfect storm”. Any Stang fans, who would have infinitely more knowledge of the situation, want to wade in with their thoughts? Hagar
Wow, little over a month away. Will be a long six weeks, and the season seems to go by in a twinkling of the eye. Still, looking forward to it.
