LCM Turf

LCM has a home game 5 weeks from Friday. I'm no expert, but I feel like they are way behind on turf installation lol

Yes I believe they are.  When WO-S installed turf, they started in March and still barely have it completed by the first game. LC-M didn’t start until school was out for whatever reason. If we get a wet rainy week it will slow them down even further.

I just went back to looked at the thread for WOS Turf. Basically 2.5 months from ground breaking to completion.

No it was replaced before the turf and other stadium upgrades. Some of us remember our old asphalt track. 🔥

Maybe due to electrical work they have to do before the installation of the turf?? Then again they might be getting a whole new scoreboard/videoboard.

Getting a new scoreboard video board to be complete by first game. However, a hiccup on the field project is now threatening the scheduled completion date.

Soil test failed causing a delay for unexpected work.

Went by there around 7pm. Looked like they still had a lot of people still working. Guess there will be a lot of overtime the next 4 weeks

Too bad they can't be like WO-S and have only half the work.  Visitor scoreboard is unnecessary. Went by the other day and they were still working on the new plywood zero.

I wouldn't rush at this point, but they might wanna make sure it's ready for September 2nd.

That might not be the case. They might be having to travel both years. Seen it before

If I remember correctly, I believe Vidor’s contractor’s put the finishing touches on our field about 3 or 4 days before the first game. They cut it close. Hopefully the field will be ready for the kids in time.
