Bellville had 45 freshman and 90 upperclassman for the first day of practice yesterday

We had 12 kids and a parent who feels like he should be the OC , DC and the HS Superintendent.

Burkeville won't start practice until next week. They hope to hire a new head coach this week.

It is going to be tough to find 22 kids who can play out of those 170. I feel bad for Nederland and the huge disadvantage they have being in this bully of a district.

Huh?  I would say that's pretty good odds if you ask me.  Or was that sarcasm and I missed it.

Newton’s numbers looked good for 3A-2 numbers. 
No size, no speed, nothing to see here.

Midnight Madness Practice - 12:01am Saturday, August 6. Players can report to field house beginning at 11:00pm on Friday August 5. We will begin practice at 12:01am. Varsity and JV only. This is an open practice. All community members are welcome , but must be in the stands. No one will be allowed on the field besides coaches, trainers, players and administrators.

I am messing with the guys who in another thread were saying Nederland had a big disadvantage in the district due to enrollment numbers.

Burkeville people, several years ago,left during a hurricane and found jobs and never came back. Public housing was in Newton before that.

Newton’s school numbers have been dropping. Hopefully the bio refr. Will create enough jobs to keep Newton in 3A-2.
