If all goes according to plan we could see a student referendum at the end of January._________________The leadership instinct you are born with is the backbone. If it passes, I'm guessing we expect to see a vote in February, if not May at the Regents meeting? Keep in mind that by bringing football back, this also means that Lamar will return their softball program. Guest abovetherim Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Well, I'll have several family members attending Lamar in the spring semester. I'll also be attending full-time and I promise, I'll do everything in my power to see this is passed by the students. Football will be played again at Lamar in the not too distant future.
NewCardinal Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 If abtr says he'll do everything in his power, I believe him. My uncle recruited my brother, myself, my girlfriend and several others to attend Lamar. We love our choice and it would only get better with a football team to cheer for in the fall.
TheSportsDoctor Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 You can put my name in the hat to do all I can to bring back football.
UNLV Posted November 14, 2007 Report Posted November 14, 2007 Wouldn't it help for LU to start talking about it in public. Talk about some plans, stadium renovations, student growth, softball, swimming, new homecoming events, etc etc.... Getting SETX involved will galvanize the community and student body.
