Last year the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns finished the season with a record of 8 and 4. The Longhorns competed in district 10--4A Div 2 and finished in 2nd place with a record of 8 wins and 4 losses.

Offensively, the Longhorns will run the Spread offense. In 2022, Look out for key returning players:
Caleb Villarreal WR SR, D'onte Zeno QB JR, Tyler Spencer RB SR, Caydon Ferrell OL SR.

Also, Mason Hind WR JR, John Sanderson WR SR, Blake Broussard OL Jr
—-could make a big impact on the offense this year.

 

On the defensive side of the ball, look for these returning players to make a big impact on defense this year:
John Sanderson LB SR, Caleb Villarreal C SR, Gavin Deranierri LB SR, Jake Speyer DL SR, Talon Clark DL SR

 

Newcomer(s) poised to breakout in 2022 for the Longhorns include:
 Holden Hatcher LB SR, D. J. Brown LB SR, Seth Ramirez LB JR. 

Hamshire-Fannett will be running the Multiple defense this year.

Agreed.  HF’s showing against Nederland had to impress almost everyone.   Then Lumberton is supposed to be ready to make noise.  Should be one of the premier games of week 1.
