Didn't realize that the electoral college rules state that if 2 people from the same state are on the same ticket, whatever state it is you lose those electoral votes of that state.

Interesting rule.  I can see the point if having been included, especially years ago when the number if states was much lower.  

Not going to take the time to research it.  Anyone know if this was a rule set in place simultaneously with the electoral college institution in 1804?
