#2, #3, and #4 all lost.  Crosby got hammered, College Station got hammered, and Aledo lost a close one.  To be fair, they all played great teams, but still.

Imo Reg 2 is harder to get through… bigger task.

Any clue why Longview is #1 in 5A-D1?  They had a good year last year, but going 9-4 and three rounds deep in the playoffs is usually not even good enough to start in the top ten the next year, much less at #1.

Longview improved a ton towards the end of last year, they brought back a ton, they have a loaded junior class coming up from a JV that went 10-0 with several soph's playing on varsity a year...they looked really strong last week

Nah they won state 2018. 2020 realignment is when they dropped back down.

Nope. 2011 in the old 5A we got up to #6 or #7 after beating NS. 

 

2009 the same thing, after beating then #3 NS we shot up into the top10. 

2004 we started the season #10.

Ever is a long time.

Pretty sure Memorial hasn't (the school hasn't been around very long)

LC-M may have many years ago but not recently.
