OlDawg Posted September 10, 2022 Report Posted September 10, 2022 LP 69 GCM 17 Final Improvement from Game 1 to Game 3 is steady. Lot of LP underclassmen. Looks like entirely different attitude from last year. Back to more of what is typical for LP historically. Retired coach from told me frosh squads were loaded. We’ll see how it goes from here. Right now, I’m pleasantly surprised with how quick they’re picking up the new systems. LoboFan07 1 Quote

Aeternum Invictum Posted September 10, 2022 Report Posted September 10, 2022 Lots of sophomores played in '21 (at least 7-8 starters...), were not physically ready, played out of position, took their lumps, learned a lot, stuck with it. Injuries to major pieces across the board also last year. The LP community said it was the "worst senior class they ever saw". Somebody told me 11(!) kids took snaps at QB. Perfect Storm! Last year's freshmen, now sophomores, went 8-2; good group. They were kept together on purpose, to learn to win together with consistency. The new staff is doing a nice job. LP trending up; kudos to the new staff, the kids, and the community. Quote

So, I’m a little detached now. Glad to have LPSportsnet for home games at least. 😃 LoboFan07 1 Quote
