BHFAN Posted October 8, 2022 Report Posted October 8, 2022 I didn’t get to catch the game and thought I would be able to watch later on Texan Live, but guess it didn’t air. Anywho the score indicates that the Eagles had a good game and the stats indicate that the Ganders didn’t giving up 3 turnovers. Now it’s off to bye week to rest up and prepare for KWP followed by PAM in which the Eagles will have to play perfect both games. Quote
Bud Kilmer Posted October 9, 2022 Report Posted October 9, 2022 Was a tight game through the 1st qtr, Lee actually scored on the last play of the qtr. Offense finally woke up and scored quickly after that before there was a pick 6. Lee's turnovers doomed them so the defense played well and did their job. Offense looked good too, overall a good game in one that I thought was going to be much tighter. Big win. Quote
gary-us-bonds Posted October 10, 2022 Report Posted October 10, 2022 Goose Creek needs to let Lee play in their correct division. We see how much Crosby has struggled moving up a division Just thinking about how much better Lee could do in their correct division down with Dayton and the like. Lee already has low turn out for their enrollment, then making them play up a division to keep them with the other Baytown schools is detrimental and probably cost them two playoff appearances now last year and this. Good game Barbers Hill. Lee with just too many mistakes back to back to back in the second quarter. Three turnovers within 5 minutes. Separation Scientist Posted October 11, 2022 Report Posted October 11, 2022 I feel bad for Lee. They need to be in D-ll. Quote

They have been very competitive the last three years. Dayton is 5-1 and leading that district but got taken behind the woodshed by Porter who is in next to last place in this D1 district with Lee. (laughable) I think we were tied at half-time and that's with us blowing two scores in the endzone.Your district leader only beat Porter 1 point and they are ranked top ten in State. Run some other team down besides Dayton we have a good team Porter has a good team when healthy. Maybe Lee should focus on soccer or volleyball. Quote

Are you predicting that Lee will beat Porter? Lee is 3-3 at the moment. How much better do you think they would be in 5AD2? Quote

How much better do you think they would be in 5AD2? Two years ago they would have probably gone three rounds deep in the playoffs had they not had to play Katy Paetow in the first round who by the way won the state championship last year and is now in 6a. They should have been playing Galena Park and Houston ISD schools not Katy Paetow. Dayton was 2-8 last year playing more or less what is now the district Lee is in. No one is running down Dayton. They rightfully can't compete against teams like Porter nor should they have to. They are now in different divisions which is the point of having divisions. To put you in with other teams you can compete with. As for if Lee can beat Porter. That's the point. They shouldn't have to. They should be beating Galena Park, which they did the last two years by an average of 50 points each time. And Santa Fe, who they beat 34-3 three years ago when they last played. How many wins Lee would have in their appropriate division? I would certainly like to be able to find out one day. Separation Scientist and THS99 2 Quote

I don't think it would be too much easier for Lee in D2, since they would be in the same district as PNG, Texas City, and FB Marshall. Quote
