HF has played Silsbee close the last few years.

2021: Silsbee 36, HF 35
2020: Silsbee 24, HF 2
2019: Silsbee 27, HF 21
2018: Silsbee 27, HF 26

HF is better this year than any of those teams were, but… So is Silsbee.  I don’t think the tigers blow them out, but I don’t think it’s going to be another 1-score game.  I’ll take the tigers 34-20, and hope like heck I’m wrong.

It has been interesting to see how the 2nd string is developing in district.

Non-District

Silsbee Offense Scoring Average

30 PTs 1st Half / 7 PTs 2nd Half

Silsbee Defensive Scoring Allowed

3 PTs 1st Half / 7 PTs 2nd Half

District

Silsbee Offense Scoring Average

35 PTs 1st Half / 14 PTs 2nd Half

Silsbee Defensive Scoring Allowed

7 PTs 1st Half / 3 PTs 2nd Half

Make what you will of it....

Not really understanding your next post in relation to mine, as in the last 4 years the 2nd string hasn’t seen the field much, if at all, against HF??

My bad Bullets...

Not really criticizing the team. Just providing some interesting stats and how HF matchup is dangerous for the Tigers.

Silsbee has been able to keep players from going both ways this year.  It has made a huge difference for the densive side.  Merely showing that you have to keep Silsbee under 28 to win, imo.

If Silsbee falters, if it's gonna happen, it will likely happen early 2nd half.

After facing Brazosport, the Zeno talent doesn't scare me as much concerns me.

He is a factor but lucky for us we have gotten an early taste of a seriously Mobile QB.

Thanks for actually reading the post and replying.  Great dialogue.

Now this explanation I do understand.  Good analysis.  I expect/hope HF gives them a game this year, but it’s a tough ask.

Silsbee has been blowing out opponents including West Orange start but it's hard to keep that kind of momentum forever. No stupid mistakes and Silsbee wins this no contest but don't let your guard down against this talented HF team.

The QB from Brazorport was about 6'4 and quick. Zeno may have a better arm than him and weapons. Great post tho.

That QB for Brazosport is a 4 star

Not as a QB. DB

He's thrown for 685 yards (45% completion) 3 TD's and 5 INT's in 8 games. He's rushed for 766 yards and 8 TD's.

Zeno has thrown for 1110 yards (60% completion) 11 TD's and 1 INT. He's rushed for 673 yards and 15 TD's.

Brazosport is 4-4, HF is 6-2. Both of their schedules are about the same as far as toughness.

I would say Zeno is the better QB.
