FYI, for any Livingston fans who’ve never seen a Pirate HC, if they’re still like they used to be, be in your seat when the Pirate Band takes the field.  Lights will go out and the best HC halftime performance in Texas begins.  As before, if as it was, HC Queen will be crowned prior to game.  Halftime is about Band performance.

The Vidor halftime show was forever changed when they got turf because the turf would get burned. Both schools have the same school song and fight song

Kids still put on a great halftime Homecoming Show. They still do ALL the fireworks as usual. Only thing that has changed with the turf is the twirlers use led lights on the end of their batons and yard markers are lit up with led lights also.

Kids and everyone involved do an amazing job and have for many, many years.  Good ol' Clay Walker singing the National Anthem, lights out, fireworks, Slavonic, band and twirlers using LED lights....

and Karen-melonhead wants to complain.... dude is trash!

A bit off topic but I was watching film of the Vidor / Lumberton game and was wondering how the young man from Vidort that hurt his arm is doing. It looked really bad.

They only announce who the homecoming court is before the game… after the Livingston band performance they have a brief ceremony at halftime to crown the Queen, as soon as the Queen exits the field the lights go out and the band does their thing!!!!

Shows how long it’s been since I’ve been to a HC game, lol.  Changed quite a bit.  Still I’ll bet best HC performance in the State.

Speaking of performances, hope the Pirates put on a great one.  A win here ensures a playoff spot, with probably a good spot.

On Saturday his mom said that he was taken to Houston and was put in a cast. Surgery would be done later this week. I haven't heard anything more about the surgery.

I do miss when the Homecoming court would drive around the track in cars, the field was hand painted... the good'ol days!  It was an honor to be nominated and win homecoming court.  Doesn't feel as prestigious of an award these days.  But then again, we weren't a bunch of idiots... well for the most part lol

IDK which livingston team shows up. They made a lot of mistakes last week and took a significant step backwards. Vidor's offensive style may be more conducive to a better defensive showing. Livingston spoils homecoming by 6.
