Not for me lol

Another Crosby poster and I were talking about PAM being ranked so high.  They won a close one over Porter, a close one over a 2nd string Crosby, and now a loss to Lee.  I’m beginning to think he was right when he said, “PAM’s not that good at all”.  This game was not what I expected. They might be heading to the playoff in 3rd place.

I don’t ever say anything…but man.  This was a very frustrating game to watch.  The play calling WAS TRASH!!!! How do you not adjust to the blitz??? They keep running the same dang plays seeing the defense is about to blitz.  How does that happen??? It wasn’t until the last drive that they ran a screen when they blitz.  That should’ve been done…instead you keep running these long pass plays or play action to give the defense and their blitz to get in the backfield.  To see them keep running the same plays and not adjusting is the definition of insanity.  Doing the same dang thing thinking something different is going to happen.  Come on man!!!! What are you thinking?? I’m by no means a football coach but I’m well educated in football.  Ima say this…I have a job and I try my best to be great at it.  How do they not do the same??? It’s not rocket science as to what adjustments needed to be made to fight off what they were doing.  This one is ALLLLLL on the coaches.  You’re suppose to put your team in the best situation to succeed… By NO MEANS did they do that tonight.  You have great athletes and a great team…and this is how you reward them??? That’s sad man.  I don’t wanna hear anything about the dang turnovers.  They all happened in the first half except for one…I think.  …and you were still up 17-7.  Unbelievable to say the least.

I wasn't a fan of them being ranked at all.  Now, a great opportunity for a reset

I don’t care what anyone says.  If you give ANY credit to that offensive play calling.  You need to stop watching football and find another sport.  I hate to even call them out because I understand it’s a job and well…you hope that they try to do their best…. But tonight…they got punched in the mouth got dazed and forgot how to call a game.  It’s frustrating because if they don’t make it far in the playoffs…it’s not the kids.  All on that staff.

    • I too, wish #15 was healthy and playing.  And also another RB (can't recall the #), who went down in the first game of the season. But, some others have stepped up and are hard runners.  I'm really looking forward to watching this game.
    • Still, from what little I saw, it should have been a much closer game.  WOS was missing some fundamentals on defense, and a lack of imaginative play calling on offense.  Just my opinion as an objective observer on Texan Live, which was horrible btw, but that's another story.
    • Either way,one game lead in the series. I rely to much on word of mouth
    • West Orange Stark has been a powerhouse since I csn remember. At some point, your bound to fall off to some degree. Alabama has 3 or 4 loses this season. Who would have thought? Has Orange lost kids to LCM or even Orangefield?
    • Interesting matchup this Friday. Both teams have very good offensive and defensive lines, which will make this game interesting. Having watched Texas High all season, they have a wide open offense with very good skill players. If you look at their stats they run the ball 57% of the time and pass 43% of the time. Personally, that is a bit deceiving, as most of their games have seen reserves running the ball in the 4th quarter. I would estimate the primary offense is 50/50. Through 12 games they have run for 3,224 yds (48tds) and passed for 2,894 yds (32 yds). Potter, the Tiger QB, has been very efficient with a 69% completion rate and 1 interception (which came from a tipped pass). The passing is distributed primarily to 4 receivers…. Ball (865), Wrightner (811), Montgomery (532), & Pilgreen (392). The rushing comes from 3 running backs … Johnson (1,432), Ball (768) & Moore (716).  The Tiger defense is solid and very quick.    Hope #15 is healthy enough to play. He is a test for any defense. I was concerned about the Nederland RB, but felt Texas High did a good job containing him. I wish this game was in the afternoon, as Nachitoches is having their Festival of Lights and their will not be any rooms in the inns and restaurants will be full so plan accordingly. PNG are state champions until someone knocks them off, so I extend the Indians the respect they deserve. Pulling for the Tigers.
