Reason I ask, seems they’ve changed the rules a lot.  For instance, if they check 1st or 3rd Ump on check swing, if it’s an Astro it’s a strike - A Philly, a ball..  Must be a home/visitor call/Rule.

They're trying to create controversy on the big stage so the check swing rule can be retired soon. Umps don't wanna be responsible for anything anymore. Just pay me to be there and let the computers and cameras do my job. But I'll still walk over and pat the pitchers hand and inspect his hat. Lol what a joke. Enough from my soap box old man.

Question from long time player fan.  Pitch Philly picture threw to Vazquez I believe.  He swung & fouled it off, but it would’ve probably hit him.  Question is - If batter swings & makes no contact & pitch does hit him, is it a strike or does he get the base?

I’d bet a strike but I don’t ever remember seeing it happen before.
