Me either. And to make it worse lost another player today !! And one other don't even care if he plays again. Keeps getting worse.bcz, the kid that quit I thought he was one of the leaders on the team.wow.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see even more in the next few days, there’s nothing really left to play for this season.

Except not giving up on your team or your team mates. Except for pride and respect. Except for… never mind, that stuff doesn’t interest people who are ready to tar and feather the coach, who are complacent with below average education and would only ever go to a school board meeting because of football.

Are you going to bring up the long history of academic shortfalls or just the record of a first year head coach? Just wondering…

They heard about the poor school performance. I quoted a tual scores and how i was mystified how we got a B- rating, because it should have bern much lower. I stressed the importance or extracurricular activities and how they have let the one excellent program, football, we had, go down the drain. I talked about how good schools build good communities. I took up my full 5 minutes.

Well, I'm glad we can admit the education has been poor for a long time. I wonder why no one is up in arms until the football program is suffering? I would hate to think that a lot of kids have been getting a poor education, but I guess it really doesn't matter when all those games are being won. As a matter of fact, maybe I'm the silly one. Education smeducation... Let's get us a gosh dang 'nother head coach quick, so our uneducated kids can at least watch a winning football program.

Thank you for taking the time of showing us what really matters - my apologies...

You should have been there to hear what I said. I will also tell you I was a volunteer at the school and compiled more hours than any volunteer in any program.

One bad season (4-4) and not even a full season done yet and yall are ready to get rid of the man. Teams have down years. WOS has been good for so long that no one knows how to act when goin 4-4. WOS will be fine.

We have 16 return starters from a team thar went 4 deep in the playoffs last year. What do you think.is the problem.

Unfortunately.. nobody cares about academic shortfalls in comparison.  That's why coaches get away with yelling/cussing at kids but teachers don't.  That's why coaches get away with all sorts of physical punishment for behavior and/or missing a practice but teachers don't if a kid refuses to do an assignment or skips class.  That's why threads get created about complaining to school boards for gripes about a football coach.. but not about a principal or teachers.

You have not been to WOS school board meetings, or you would have heard all of the things you listed.

If a United front cannot present itself at the Board meetings, nothing will happen. The other people there tonight addressed s hool problems. I addressed education, extra curricular activities, the school, kids, community, school board responsibilities, and the deterioration of the football program

I live north of IH10. I guess you don't know that WOS school district runs almost to Mauriceville?

I know the neighborhoods across from Community church are zoned to WOS, but no sir I have never heard of their school district lines going up towards Mauriceville.

The old Bancroft school district. Almost 100% of FM 1078, parts if FM 1130, and past FM 1078 going up Hwy 62 toward Mauriceville. It cuts from 62 east, to the curve north of Country Corner Store on 1130.

25-6. The record of the teams who beat you.  Hard to be empathetic towards your program when you show such arrogance and disrespect towards those teams.  With the exception of HF everyone of those teams has beat you on multiple occasions.  In some instances your season was ended due to a loss to one of them.
Most folks looking from the outside have seen a downward turn coming.  Your enrollment has been dropping.  Everyone of those teams who’ve beaten you have had some lean times, some upheaval with coaching changes.  You’ve been lucky due to the longevity of your staffs.  That’s over welcome to what everyone else has had to endure at some point.  Time to suck it up, support your kids, support your coaches, and support your program.
