5A Div2 District 9 Playoff Projections

It's too wide open to project a playoff opponent for this district.  Important games that will set the final seedings are Lake Creek vs Brenham,  Montgomery vs Bryan Rudder,  Richmond Randle vs Huntsville,  Nederland vs TC, Dayton vs FBM. This district could have a 3 way tie for 1st. Or a 3 way tie for 4th still

For District 10, Lake Creek should beat Brenham to win the District.  The winner of Huntsville vs Randle will get a 3 or 4 seed.  Montgomery should all ready be in after last week’s win that eliminated Lamar.  If not, they have last place Rudder this week.  

District 9 should be mostly set, unless Dayton pulls the upset.

I think the most likely scenario is:

Huntsville @ FB Marshall

Montgomery @ PNG

Dayton @ Brenham

Texas City @ Lake Creek

I would like to see Randle beat Huntsville with would make the matchups

With Randle being a new school and never coming to a place like the Rez, that could be a huge advantage.   A possible match-up in 2nd round with Austin LBJ would be the real test for PNG.   LBJ has outscored opponents last 4 games 377-0. Even though Austin ISD is just as bad or worse than the Houston ISD schools barring a few exceptions

Montgomery or Randle - it dont matter! PNG will make a showing in the playoffs! They have yet to show all the weapons they have.

Randle leading Huntsville 14-0 at the half.  Randle would be 3 seed with a win tonight.

Huntsville comes back and defeats Randle 28-17.  So, they should be the 4 seed now out of District 10.
