Dayton may have lost on the scoreboard but I can say with the dirty hits, and all the extra stuff that Marshall does they shouldn’t be very proud of their district win. Probably the most classless and undisciplined high school football team I have ever seen.

Dayton is on track and building for the future. The time is coming when the rest of the district will be looking up at Dayton. FBM needs to enjoy it now.

FBM very good team with not much class !

With that being said, I think Dayton made them look much better than they really are. FBM certainly didn't have the look of  their ranking, IMO. Also would like to add that it's been a long time since I have seen a Dayton team with this much heart, there is absolutely no quit in these young men. Very proud of them.

Agreed. Most of our defense forgot how to wrap up, fort bend marshal started with great field position on almost every drive due to very questionable punts/ a very confusing kick off or onside kick if that’s what they were trying for. On offense our difference maker last night was stevens but he hardly got the ball thrown his way not sure why you wouldn’t stick with what is working.

Just based solely on the game I saw in Fort Bend, FBM vs PNG, Dayton at least can be glad their game wasn't at FB. If it was, late hits, holding, and face mask violations would have been much worse, and supported by the refs. Flags didn't begin flying until PNG started dishing it back at FBM. I'm recalling from memory but I seem to remember a few helmets coming off.

Anyway, Dayton is in the playoffs now, and we'll see how it goes.

Agreed. When PNG played them in 105 degree weather after they moved the game three days before kickoff.... They brought 18 cases of water for our fans causing multiple people to be hauled out by ambulance and or taken to the hospital. Disgusting. Period.

Thank you - We will be pulling for PNG always, but Iam afraid we won't be doing the same for FBM.

    • I too, wish #15 was healthy and playing.  And also another RB (can't recall the #), who went down in the first game of the season. But, some others have stepped up and are hard runners.  I'm really looking forward to watching this game.
    • Still, from what little I saw, it should have been a much closer game.  WOS was missing some fundamentals on defense, and a lack of imaginative play calling on offense.  Just my opinion as an objective observer on Texan Live, which was horrible btw, but that's another story.
    • Either way,one game lead in the series. I rely to much on word of mouth
    • West Orange Stark has been a powerhouse since I csn remember. At some point, your bound to fall off to some degree. Alabama has 3 or 4 loses this season. Who would have thought? Has Orange lost kids to LCM or even Orangefield?
    • Interesting matchup this Friday. Both teams have very good offensive and defensive lines, which will make this game interesting. Having watched Texas High all season, they have a wide open offense with very good skill players. If you look at their stats they run the ball 57% of the time and pass 43% of the time. Personally, that is a bit deceiving, as most of their games have seen reserves running the ball in the 4th quarter. I would estimate the primary offense is 50/50. Through 12 games they have run for 3,224 yds (48tds) and passed for 2,894 yds (32 yds). Potter, the Tiger QB, has been very efficient with a 69% completion rate and 1 interception (which came from a tipped pass). The passing is distributed primarily to 4 receivers…. Ball (865), Wrightner (811), Montgomery (532), & Pilgreen (392). The rushing comes from 3 running backs … Johnson (1,432), Ball (768) & Moore (716).  The Tiger defense is solid and very quick.    Hope #15 is healthy enough to play. He is a test for any defense. I was concerned about the Nederland RB, but felt Texas High did a good job containing him. I wish this game was in the afternoon, as Nachitoches is having their Festival of Lights and their will not be any rooms in the inns and restaurants will be full so plan accordingly. PNG are state champions until someone knocks them off, so I extend the Indians the respect they deserve. Pulling for the Tigers.
