From what I know Connally is very athletic. Probably comparable to Silsbee as far as that’s concerned, but they do lack depth. Their offense is their strength.

Number 1 is fast, if your even he's leaving, he had 3 90+ scoring runs against Salado. They totaled 500+rush yards. That game. How is HF's run defense against fast teams?

They played Silsbee to a one score game. Silsbee has speed for sure

Silsbee throws the ball alot more than Connally. HF better buckle up on #1. I got HF 27-24.

One would think it would be helpful for the D to be able to concentrate more on the run.  Silsbee was a duel threat offense.  We'll see how this one plays out.

So after listening to the Tepp and step podcast … Waco C has 2-3 D1 skill position guys. DB Jelani McDonald who is committed to Oklahoma State, 4 star DB Kobe Black who has multiple offers from top programs in the country, and I think there is one more guy. Their flaw is the supporting cast apparently.

Yeah I stated somewhere else that their defense is probably not their strong point… In games vs what I consider “Good Teams” including Waco La Vega, Cameron Yoe, China Spring, and Brownwood… they are giving up 44 PPG….. Now they did go 2-2 in those games beating Waco La Vega and Cameron Yoe.
