If they would just count merch sales instead of votes, Trump might actually win.

The fact that Trump's supporters really, REALLY like him doesn't offset the fact that many, many more people hate him and will vote for anybody but Trump.

Biden rolls in '24.

I’d like to see him flip NY. He wouldn’t need and swing state then. It could happen.

that'll never happen.  but he could flip enough swing states to win.  should be a simple task for the right, but it's not going to be.  it'll be very interesting.

It was a big “what if” but still, think about it. How beneficial that would be for future elections. All the populated cities are Dem controlled. It’s why the electoral college was created.

It's possible.  Especially if this charade of trials continue.  Biden won NY by 20-22% in 2020.  He is only ahead by 10% now.  Quite a drastic drop.

Last time it happened was Reagan, sadly, the biggest thing that has changed is that apparently the country can't recognize a horrible President anymore.

NY, Chicago, and California are fed up with Dem control. What a glorious day if all turned red. You’d have Dems jumping out of windows. I like to think big.

That is not the reason the electoral college was created

But the president and vice president are not elected directly by citizens. Instead, they are chosen through the Electoral College process. The process of using electors comes from the Constitution. It was a compromise between a popular vote by citizens and a vote in Congress.Mar 14, 2024

It was created so that the entire country isn’t controlled by a few states. Where does your disagreement fall?

Again, that is not the reason. Do some research. How big was New York when the electoral college was created?.

At the time, it didn't matter which States were more populace than others.  The point for the electoral college was, like baddog said, they didn't want the most populace states, whichever they were at the time, AND in the future, to be able to have that much power at the expense of the least populace States.   Say now, NY, California, Florida and Texas could elect, by popular vote, the President in every election due to the amount of people in theses States.  The founding fathers, in their great wisdom, realized this was not right.  Therefore created the electoral college to elect Presidents.

Thank you. Her diploma never kicks in. Now I’m going to be asked what kicks in means.
