CATMAN Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 Good to see warren win over a 3a school. way to go. :D :D :D
warfan Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 My Warriors looked much better tonight. Still a lot of football out there, but they are getting there. The bench got some good work tonight. Jasper has some key players in football but they were a good test with some real speed. Keep up the work guys, we got WOODVILLE Tuesday and you know what that means!
bballer08 Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 i think thats the first of many good things to come this year boys, good job warriors, this is our year! ;) ;) ;) ;)
cma123 Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 Congrats Warren!!!, it's good to see the kids are getting their b-ball legs under them. Good luck in the future except for the 27th. L.O.L!!!!!!! :
CHSOwls24 Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 Congrats Warren, any stats on this game?
whsalum Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 Don't have it charted yet but Andrews and Nash led the way with 19 and 13 points respectively.Everyone stepped up and contributed last night after Sims got in early foul trouble.Ill post the stats when I get the game charted.Good job guys and congratulations on the win.
kellite Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Jasper must have had all their starters in football.
BWCoach Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Great Job Warriors!!!!! And Folks, this bunch hasn't even hit its stride!!!! There is a lot of well coached talent on this team. Sorry about this WARFAN !!! ( He doesn't like for me to Publicize their potential).
whsalum Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Jasper must have had all their starters in football. Before the game they said they had 3 starters out.Thats still quite a few when you consider the caliber players they were missing.Warren has always played Jasper in the off season and usually the games are very close. This was very good effort for the guys who have been working as a team for the 3 days, they will continue to improve as they get more familiar with there system.I was very impressed with Young,Riley and Huelett who turned in valuable minutes after Sims,Swinney and Mcbee got in foul trouble.Team shot 50% from behind the arc, that will keep ya in a lot of ballgames.
texasbasketballfan Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 so how has andrews been doing
whsalum Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 GREAT!!!!! He had 19 pts and 4 Rebs friday against Jasper. He was playing the 5 and scored real good on the block.Matt is playing a whole lot more aggressive right now than he did last year, and we know how he can shoot it.
SPORTSMAN Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Sounds like Warrens off to a good start.
UT#1 Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 jasper had 1 player out that would have made a difference... but not a 22 point diff...
warfan Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Before the game one of Jasper's coaches said they had 3 starters missing, After the game He said he had 5 missing. Sound like a couple could have lost their position. Anyway I got a good laugh out of it. ;D
shooter Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 I watched them during the Spring and Summer Basketball Leagues and I know Aaron Garrett (guard), Dominique Bailey (Mr. Everything in Basketball/Football) were starters, Kwame Spikes (shooting guard) came off the bench along with Christian Goff. They are also expecting Cameron Stubblefield and Malcolm Bronson (an absolute animal) to pay huge dividends. Their tall 6-5 guy was injured and didn't play much and their most physical guard should be passing come November 27th. To your question, I am not sure any of the players have a starting job, but I bet there will be a huge shakeup when they return and things will get better in a hurry. Warfan your team looks good but with all the kids out I am sure they would welcome a rematch. Best of luck to you, you all a solid team and an excellent coach.
warfan Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Great Job Warriors!!!!! And Folks, this bunch hasn't even hit its stride!!!! There is a lot of well coached talent on this team. Sorry about this WARFAN !!! ( He doesn't like for me to Publicize their potential). You just can't stand it can you. Go ahead let the secret out. This isn't softball it's a real sport. ;D
BWCoach Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 It will cost Warfan several Basketball Gym dinners to keep me from revealing his last post, to the right people!!! Seriously, he is a huge supporter of WHS softball. (After Basketball is over) Good luck to the Warriors tomorrow against Woodville. See ya there.
setxguru Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 I have to believe that either 3 or 5 starters out, when the dawgs get out of football they would easily handle the warriors in b-ball.
BWCoach Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 A little strong there GURU, they (The dawgs) may match up a little better with the returnees, but "easily" take the Warriors down, NOT A CHANCE !!!!!!!!
