I would imagine PNG hires a more established HC, and the lady up for the Vidor job would be smart to take the position in Vidor with no prior HC experience. But that's just my opinion. The coach that was just at PNG only had 1yr experience. Quote

But PNG pays way better than BC, the PNG volleyball coach also includes women’s AD. Something that BC can’t and won’t ever do. BC pay is far behind. Quote

Base salary pay is definitely different though, those numbers are on each districts website. Quote

The AC for PNG now needs to retire or just be the golf coach. McDaniel would be a good fit there at PNG. She has made a mark at Nederland. I think she could turn the program around and get them back in the playoffs. It all depends on the talent you have too. Quote
KF89 Posted May 24, 2023 Report Posted May 24, 2023 I was informed by quality back room sources the Nederland head vball coach is a done deal getting offered & taking the head vball coaching job at png. ExSportMom 1 Quote

Right now, BH is still the apex VB program by a mile. However, their dominance is chiefly due to the superior quantity & quality of player talent, especially with their current senior class, and not due to superior coaching. When BH's current seniors are gone after this season, it should shock anyone if another program (PNG) really challenges them and/or overtakes them. PNG's new coach has already shown that she is the best VB coach in the district and it looks like that area is starting to develop more VB talent. Quote
